Your hard work deserves to be displayed with pride.

Congratulations! You’ve painted the final section, washed your brushes, and stepped back to admire your work. Whether it's a vibrant landscape or a custom pet portrait, you should be proud.

But now you face the final hurdle: What do you do with a finished canvas?

Too many beautiful paintings end up rolled up in tubes or stuffed in the back of a closet because professional framing is expensive and complicated. We're here to fix that.

Why Framing Matters: The "Project Lifecycle" Data

Based on industry observations of DIY art projects, there is a critical "danger zone" between finishing a piece and displaying it. Leaving art unprotected significantly increases the risk of damage over time.

We've visualised the typical lifecycle of a Paint by Numbers project below. Which path will your artwork take?

The Solution: The DIY Wooden Frame Kit

Professional custom framing can often cost more than the kit itself. Trying to buy a standard frame off the shelf often fails because the canvas is too thick to fit behind glass.

The solution is what artists call "stretching." This is where you wrap the canvas around a wooden frame (stretcher bars). We have made this incredibly easy with our DIY Wooden Frame Kits. They are affordable, require no sawing or complex tools, and are designed specifically for our canvas sizes.

How to Assemble Your DIY Frame (Video & Step-by-Step)

Turning your rolled canvas into a gallery-ready piece is simpler than you think. You don't need complex tools, just a little bit of space and patience.

Summary of Steps:

  1. Slot the Bars: Our kit comes with four wooden bars that slot together perfectly at the corners. You might need a gentle tap with a hammer to secure them snugly.
  2. Position Canvas: Lay your finished, dried canvas face down on a clean surface. Centre the assembled wooden frame on top of the back of the canvas.
  3. Stretch & Secure: Starting in the middle of one side, fold the excess canvas over the wood and use the provided tacks to secure it. Pull taut to the opposite side and repeat. Then move to the corners, folding them neatly like wrapping a present before securing.

Displaying Your Masterpiece

Once stretched, your canvas is lightweight and ready to hang. You can use simple adhesive command strips for damage-free hanging, or a standard picture hook. Because the painted image wraps slightly around the edges, it looks modern and complete without needing an external decorative frame.
